History

Heritage Hills Farm originated in 1942 by Albert Doane.  The original Heritage Hills Farm was located in Massachusetts which specialized in show and race horses using mostly hackneys and quarter horses.

In 2009 Heritage Hills Farm reopened in Mendon, Vermont, by Albert Doane's grandson Justin Laramie and his fiance Amy Zajdel.  It has always been Justin's dream to be able to reopen Heritage Hills Farm and he did just that.  Steering away from the show and race horses Justin reopened with draft horses being used to pull you through the Vermont Mountains in a horse drawn sleigh or carriage.

Currently we are giving sleigh rides in Pittsfield, Vermont, out of Riverside Farm on 57 Tweed River Drive, Pittsfield, VT 05762.
